How can social media managers keep their team informed about the latest trends?

It is an important thing that every TL/Manager should do some activities to teach their teams about new things like new tools, trends and tips. This helps the manager to keep his/her teams on the same path and they can move forward together with the same thought process from which they can learn & grow.

At Battenhall, we have an initiative called 20% time, which means 20% of everyone's hours is ring-fenced for non-client work. This means we can spend that time reading, attending webinars, learning about the latest developments in social media or working with pro-bono clients to hone our skills and do good. We also host regular internal best practice-sharing sessions, all of which are recorded to the team can reference them later. Creating a learning culture is not just about leading by example, but also ensuring your team has the tools to enable that learning - whether that's time or access to the right resources.

I believe that being engaged with team members, being like a family, and sharing your thoughts, and opinions with them through brainstorming sections, and R&D meetings, make comfortable them that they don't hesitate to share their feelings.

good way to learn about trends is to update with industry experts via groups. when a manager gets good stuff shares their team as well, and also takes a review about that they are following that tips n oll.

always ready to adapt the changes, from the analytics reports you get the information about where going good and bad, share every data with the team to get everyone noticed and make changes according. always remember only those teams will win where everyone gives equal contribution.

Events and conferences often coincide with major announcements or developments in the industry. Attending allows you to receive real-time updates, network with industry professionals, and expose you to different perspectives and interpretations of industry trends.

Encourage & empower colleagues at all levels, regardless of their department, to share interesting news, insights, and case studies related to social media in a shared online space. This could be through platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack or WhatsApp. This initiative creates a safe space for individuals to contribute & generates a sense of belonging within the group. However, when an idea is shared, I strongly recommend that the group maintains an open mind & seeks to foster healthy debates rather than outright rejection, even if the concept appears abstract for your business. There are often kernels of a great idea waiting to be discovered, and the quickest way to alienate people is to disapprove of a suggestion without listening.
