I like to think of it as creating more surface area for serendipity to happen. Impressions and follower counts are fun metrics to watch but not the main driver. You never know who the silent viewers are. I've had numerous people tell me they really like my content and they've never liked, commented or interacted in any other way on LinkedIn. It's led to interesting conversations and keeping me top of mind.

Something I see a lot among CRE agents who post to LinkedIn (or any other social media for that matter) is that their content feels less social and more formal. There is nothing wrong with formal, it has its time and place, and social media is not it. Social media is alive, fluid, and most importantly - social, so we should use language that is as close as possible to the way we actually talk. This achieves a few things: - removes pressure and makes it easier to create content - attracts clients who like YOUR unique delivery - strengthens existing relationships because people recognize your individuality in your content - makes you stand out, because no one can be a better you than you!

Balance sharing valuable content with active listening. Your consistency doesn't just make you visible; it ensures you're memorable and impactful. Social Media Influencers will talk about the number of followers they have and their reach, but that ultimately doesn't matter, especially in real estate. It comes down to the number of quality connections. I know Influencers with 10 times the follower count, but I can easily trace my deals back to social media because I have deliberately grown a following of those who are engaging with my content and are interested in the areas that I serve.
