Be clear on, and set your non negotiables (school pick ups, gym time, a bike ride, dinner with the kids etc etc) Then diarise them, and communicate! Simple.

Try to be mindful of your priorities, in order to to create a fulfilling and sustainable work-life balance. Work from home if needed to complete certain projects .Communicate to your family about your work commitments and involve them in planning family activities and try to spend quality time with them. There can be always balance between professional and personal life .

Learn to say No. If you are fully booked, set clear expectations about your availability and ability to successfully deliver additional tasks. When needed, rearrange your priority list and delegate where possible to rebalance the workload.

In my experience, the best way to do this is understand work is work, it will always be there. The time with your family is priceless. When at work, be intentional, plan your time, and be as effective as you can with the time you have. I learned this early on and its helped me be very successful in sales and while avoiding burnout. I extremely thankful for the time I've been able to spend at my children's crucial development age.

The thing about sales is that you are never done. There is always another call you could make. You have to have the discipline to balance your work life with your personal life. Set goals, both professionally and personally and work to keep them. Set aside time for your personal life just as you schedule time for your professional life.

It starts with team culture. I respect my colleagues personal time and they mine. Unless it’s urgent/important I don’t take any meetings from 07.00 to 08.30 and 17.30 to 19.00 so I can be present for breakfast (and the max rush to get the kids up and out!) and dinner.

Honestly it's not easy as such although if you have an understanding family it becomes much easier for anyone to deal with issues arising from target related pressure. Planning comes in handy and unless you learn to separate the two one is likely to lose either of one or both??

A well-rested, physically fit person who has clear cognitive functioning and has mastered their talents will outperform the worker who is enslaved to their post every time. Work smarter, not harder.

Automate, automate, automate. I can't say this enough. Automate as much as you can. There are tools available that will automate personalized emails, social media posts, making quotes and more. The more you can use automation to streamline your day the more productive you can be during your normal working hours. Also, automating the office work of filling in CRM data, expense reports, etc. is equally important. Do the research and find the tools that work for you. For me having emails automatically sync with the CRM was a game changer. I no longer had to write notes in the CRM about sending an email to a prospect or existing client and what it was about. The tools are out there, using them to their fullest extent is key.

Delegation and automation are crucial in sales. They not only help improve team efficiency but also free up time for strategic thinking. Utilizing AI tools can make work more effective and faster. It's important to learn from others who save time and enhance their work with cutting-edge tools. Using tools to get more productive is the best approach. You can get more tasks done in a shorter time span if you have a handy tool to help you out. However, do some research before you pick one.

Use technology to your advantage to cut down on the time you spend on certain tasks. I have been able to cut down on unnecessary emails and phone calls by using collaboration tools with family and coworkers. For example, try sharing notes on Evernote, Dropbox, or another shared document vendor. To keep projects on task and organized, I really like smartsheet.

Delegation is a tricky situation. Bosses tend to delegate everything to subordinates and in the process wearing them out and eventually you loose a good team. However, delegation is important but be mindful your team might be already stressed out and work life balance is important not only for you but also to your team. So yes delegate but if required talk to stakeholders to find solutions.

Most salespeople focus solely on Quantity and perhaps Direction. Developing a sales plan around the 3 elements of QDQ will ensure that your sales activity is highly effective and you have more time to relax!
