What tends to happen is that the IT Change Management (ITCM) process gets adopted for use by Organisational Change Management (OCM) and its not a like-of-like match. Als Beraterin ist es mir vor allem wichtig zu wissen, warum m?chte das Unternehmen diese Ver?nderung machen. Welche Probleme wollen sie damit l?sen? Und was wollen sie stattdessen erreichen? Nur, wenn das Warum und Wozu klar ist, macht die Ver?nderung auch Sinn. Und dann kommt noch ein weiterer wesentlicher Punkt hinzu: Wie hoch ist der "Preis", den das Unternehmen bereit ist zu "bezahlen"? Dabei geht es nicht um Geld, sondern um die volle Unterstützung der Ver?nderung. Nehmen sie auch negative Auswirkungen in Kauf, ziehen sie Konsequenzen, wenn es nicht l?uft?

Completely agree with this! For any change effort to be successful, understanding the context is essential. Similar to creating a foundation, implementing a change is certain to bring difficulties if the issue, objectives, stakeholders, and possible risks and rewards are not thoroughly understood. Additionally essential to keeping everyone in touch is communication.

Finally keeping informed the pros and cons of the desired change and inform why it is taken up.

Ver?nderung gelingt dann, wenn die Menschen im Unternehmen eingebunden werden. Es gibt nichts schlimmeres, als wenn eine Unternehmensberatung Change am Papier entwickelt und das dann erst recht in der Schublade verschwindet. Daher hei?t es: Mitarbeiter beteiligen und einbinden und die Ver?nderung gemeinsam gestalten. Eine M?glichkeit ist Open Space Agility (nicht nur für die agile Transformation), aber dieses Format bindet Menschen in die Transformation ein, bringt sie in die Umsetzung und so die Ver?nderung ins Laufen. Dazu braucht es jedoch auch entsprechende Rahmenbedingungen, die Vertrauen, Offenheit, Neugier und Mut f?rdern.

In my experience, cross-functional communication is a key factor in successful change processes. When being a change agent or manager, it was not enough to discuss and align key matters with all the involved areas. What was most helpful, is the design of highly structured cross-functional sessions to cover everyone's point of view on critical matters. Of course, the design of the topics and framing of discussion questions is key. For this, you should have screening sessions with everyone involved to understand their concerns, motivations and character.

It is helpful to think in terms of people, process, and platforms when managing change. While most think that the platforms are the most difficult part, it is actually getting people to adopt new processes that can put up the most roadblocks. Thus, managing the process is key. To do this effectively it is vital that processes are both explained to teams as well as created in a way that elicits feedback and incorporates that feedback where it can be improved. Simply enforcing a new process on existing teams without their input is not a setup for success.

Change l?sst sich nicht managen, schon gar nicht in vorausgeplanten Meilensteinen und Schritten. Ver?nderung betrifft immer Menschen und ihre Bedürfnisse. Nicht umsonst scheitern etwa 70-80% aller Changeinitiativen. Mittlerweile zeigen Studien schon, dass lediglich 18% aller Ver?nderungsinitiativen erfolgreich sind. Warum so viele scheitern? Weil Change von A bis Z geplant wird. Hier empfehle ich meinen Kunden eine agile Vorgehensweise. So l?sst sich die Ver?nderung Schritt für Schritt umsetzen.

I would argue that the best management consultants do not manage a process, the lead the players through the changes necessary in order to generate the best outcome and set the company up better than how they found it. Change is the constant upon which one can depend. Identifying the roadmap that will be used, agreed upon and stick to it. Hold everyone accountable to their roles, which have been clearly defined. While change in the scope may be necessary, ensure HOW the change takes place, when, and by whom on the on the onset of the agreement, so during the process tough questions and decisions have already been answered and made.

Agile Change ist für mich hier das "Mittel zur Wahl." Wenn agile Werte, Prinzipien und auch Vorgehensweisen in Ver?nderungsinitiativen eingebracht werden, dann l?sst sich die Ver?nderung auch bedürfnisorientiert und menschen-zentriert durchführen. Mit Flexibilit?t, Anpassung und einer wesentlich h?heren Erfolgswahrscheinlichkeit.

Jede Ver?nderung besteht aus kleineren Erfolgen und auch Misserfolgen, oder wie ich sie gerne nenne Miss Erfolge. Daher sind Retrospektiven, regelm??ige Feedbackschleifen und Einbinden der Beteiligten unumg?nglich in der Ver?nderung.

Follow a structured approach. A general change management cycle is: a) identify the change b) raise the change request b) evaluate the change c) approve the change d) implement the change e) close the change request Please add 'communication with/ to all relevant interested parties' at each of these steps. There is a huge gap in d) and e). I wont close the change after the implementation. I will add a step d.1) observe the effectiveness (benefits) of the change, if positive then only close the change. And it may take days-weeks-and months to see the benefits of the change. I have never seen this in a change management cycle, hence I am proposing this 'change in the change management cycle'!

Pick up any of your own old project reports or download them from any other established consultancy firm and do what you asked the client to do. you will find some of those recommendations to be: 1-understand the change/ context-the need for the change 2-anticipate (so that you are prepared for teh change) 3-have open mind 4-communicate well (all good practices of effective communication) 5-take and respond to objections/ reluctance 6-create champions for change-if you win any opponents (of the change) - they are your best bets 7-use others' and create your case studies 8-bow your own trumpet i.e. communicate your achievements
