Customizations are always welcomed ... but will require some sort of unicast based services. The IPTV term refers to multicast .... which delivers a lot, but the true customization demands "one-one" conversation betwen the viewer and the service, therefore, unicast based services such as: cDVR, Personalized TV, Timeshift, Personalized ads, curation, extra scenes, enriched metadata, so on.
