A fantastic green houseProject was funded by grants, Master Gardener volunteers shared knowledge, students had hands on earth science and biology experiences. It was a successful Project but without constant funds for consumables(seeds, soil)it could not become a successful Program. When planning your Project consider if it will be a one time event or the start of an ongoing Program. Partnering with a nursery or a garden center from the start might of helped the Project transition to a Program. Most grant funded projects are not sustainable without a renewable source of funding. Programs add ways to self fund in the future & include more community stakeholders to match funds with donations in time or consumables. Projects are completed.
