I had my chances to work on the concept for many years . One of my favourite liner is - “ the most important thing a teacher can do in a teacher - learning process is to know what a child already knows” While constructing our lesson plans in the organizations with my teachers and in the training sessions which I usually do , we try to create diagnostic practices to know where the student is already standing in the topics we are teaching . One could argue on the scalability wrt student count . However , that’s where we use technology and some smart teaching aids . For instance “show me boards” is a smart half a dollar tool that I usually recommend when it comes to identification of instance learning gaps in the topic taught .
