From my experience, how to get started will depend on each person's unique ''starting point' and how they can align their skills to acquire knowledge at their present pace/speed/tempo. My personal experiece e.g. : I have developed an interest in the use strobe/flickering light after watching Norman McLaren's ''Pas de Deux''. I have been taking an electronic arts workshop outside of my film animation program in the fine arts division and am looking to ''play'' and take the time to understand how ''echoing light'' could work alongside a developping interest in sound design. Combining both to create wholesome therapy devices is something I wish to explore slowly, but surely.

In my experience, from what I was able to gather by asking my film animation undergrad colleagues: there is sometimes a gap of understanding between doing the work traditionally versus using/applying the animation principles in computer animation due to an intimidation of the available interfaces to create these. There will need to be alternative methods/interfaces to aid those who have specific interests to create useful educational content to get them to confidently contribute to the vast science fields that are in need of different types of audiovisual documentation and experiences.
