It is crucial, in this discussion, to distinguish between measuring activities and measuring outcomes. Too often, the easiest to see and easiest to measure data points only show activity - meetings held, trainings attended, cases closed, calls handled, etc. But, while these things are easy to measure, their measurement can often do more harm than good. The measures of productivity that should be addressed center around outcomes (e.g., using OKRs). If it is important to measure productivity in terms of both activities and outcomes, try to find/use mutually competitive measures (speed AND quality, for example) to avoid undesired behviors.
