How can brand strategists create a unique personal brand?

A brand strategist should first define what is their own unique value proposition to create a personal brand. But consistency is important, your visual and messaging identity should be consistent across online platforms. Let storytelling help make your brand more human, telling stories about how you are experts in the field. Interact with your audience realistically, forging genuine relationships. Whether through blogs, speaking engagements or social media posts display your work and leadership in thought. If you stick to being yourself, show your genuine self and effectively exhibit your value-added advantage, then you'll have a personal brand that speaks to people in the competitive market.

The most important thing is to know what we want to project to others, and find those strenghts that makes me create value in a strategic project, role or job.

La elección de canales debe ser estratégica y alineada con tu estilo, voz y mensaje, para llegar efectivamente a tus clientes y colaboradores ideales. En mi caso, LinkedIn proporciona un entorno más profesional que se adapta a la naturaleza de mi trabajo. Considero que la clave reside en que cada persona encuentre la plataforma que mejor se adapte a la comunicación efectiva con su audiencia objetivo. Ya sea a través de un sitio web, un blog, un podcast o redes sociales específicas, la elección debe reflejar no solo el contenido que compartes, sino también la forma en que te conectas auténticamente con tu comunidad.

Temazo este de elegir canales y plataformas. En mi opinión deberías estar donde esté tu público objetivo. De poco sirve que crees contenido en canales en los que no están tus potenciales clientes. Me parece fundamental empezar con un solo canal y, una vez dominado, pasar a "conquistar" el siguiente. En mi caso comencé con LinkedIn como canal principal, continué con Instagram y a los pocos meses incorporé el blog a mi web y poco después la newsletter. Creo que es muy importante emplear canales propios (blog, newsletter, etc.) para no depender de manera exclusiva de terceros.

Crear y compartir contenido es una de las mejores formas de trabajar tu marca personal. Hay infinidad de redes sociales y plataformas, aunque yo me quedo con LinkedIn ?? Hay personas que confunden el contenido de valor con contenido 100% educativo. Tal y como yo entiendo la marca personal, es necesario compartir contenido educativo para que tu audiencia se entere de qué haces y en qué te especializas, pero también contenido más personal, que refleje tu forma de ser, que muestre tus opiniones y valores y que permita que tu audiencia te conozca más y mejor. LinkedIn es una red profesional estupenda para potenciar tu marca personal, sí, pero no deja de ser una red social: deja que te conozcan.

Create and share valuable content is important, however be authentic! If you are referring to another professional ,dont steal their content, instead have the delicacy of mentioning them. Try to be consistend with your content calendar, to stirr up your algorythms and keep consistency. Share real cases, both of success but of failure and learnings as well!

Para mí la autenticidad y la coherencia constituyen la clave de la marca personal (en realidad es lo mismo que para las marcas comerciales). Quizás el conocimiento que compartes no interese a muchas personas porque sea muy de nicho. Quizás compartir contenido no sea tu fuerte, te cueste arrancar o tengas poco tiempo. Y aún así puedes ser percibido por los demás como un buen profesional o experto y de confianza. Sin embargo, pretender ser quien no eres, copiar, dejar todo en manos de la IA (por mucho que esté en auge)... canta y, sin duda, reduce el valor de tu marca.

The process is no different, and if something is blocking you I am sure it is fear of judgement and shyness when it comes to voicing your own opinions.
