How can accreditation improve the quality of education?

Making the Processes of Learning and Assessments quick, secure, reliable and easy to get (rather import) the data in the OBE the accreditation data tables/ matrices. Automation of learning and Examinations/ assessments helps a lot in this regard, as many Universities and Institutions will testify. In most institutions, many a teachers and staff is extremely reluctant to enter the same data in multiple locations. Their fundamental job is teaching and assessing, but they end up doing loads of data entry. This data entry if automated, the assessment data be directly exportable to the accreditation matrices shall solve the problem. However, many "experts" tend to be happy with a superficial view and disinterested in actual implementation.

For me personally, accreditation has been instrumental in ensuring that the education I received and the institutions I've been affiliated with maintain high standards of quality and excellence. Knowing that the programs I've participated in have met rigorous criteria gives me confidence in the knowledge and skills I've acquired. The certification won't teach better lessons or make the institution any more effective, per see. Varied opinions by many educators are here. As an education in the Management Studies sector for over 15 yrs now, I strongly feel the process of accreditation to include INDUSTRY INTERFACE for the Students & Teachers in the specified but a certain manner. Industry exposure gives a lot more opportunities for both Syudents & Teachers to gain that vital industry exposure : certainly lacking in the present MMS Syllabus. Short 2 months Industry Exposure in 2 yrs full course is actually nothing.... Hope, the POLICY MAKERS give more importance to the Industry Interface & ammend their academic courses accordingly. If this is compelled through the authorities with some accreditation process, it will help all the stakeholders!

I have been part of institutions that really grew exponentially in a matter of months after deciding to work for accreditations.
