How will automation shape the future of your job?

Automation is often relate to AI or robotics and we ignore the small technological enhancement. I still remember doing analysis manually which was taking hours. Now some excel functions such as vlookup, condition formatting and formulas allow users to do complex analysis in minutes. When such technological innovations are used, the quality and accuracy of data analytics improve significantly.

In Healthcare, AI can manage patient data entry, allowing strategists to develop better health policies. Embracing frameworks like McKinsey’s Automation Imperative can guide this transition. So do the thing you love doing and learn as much as you can on it That way you will naturally want to get better at it Lean on your strengths and creativity, that's the one thing robot's will never have!

I believe that the natural evolution of jobs is that all the things that are repetitive and time-consuming can be done by AI enabled tools. This automation will then free up time for deeper thinking, for more creative thinking, for finding better solutions to today's problems. It's going to be a little bit like. what happened with pocket calculators. They did not replace our need to do math, but it allowed us to perform higher-level math without worrying about distraction, divisions, etc.

Hace unos días, observé errores en GPT -por mencionar alguno- y por más que se le indique que estaba mal generada la respuesta seguía dándola. Cabe mencionar, que existen empresas que, utilizan RPA para sustituir FTEs, no obstante, hay otras empresas que re-ubican el personal y lo incitan a avanzar en la carrera profesional en otras áreas!.

Today, most people know how to speak English because it is essential in our modern world. It has become a universal language that bridges communication gaps. In the same way, you should consider learning programming and automation. While it's not mandatory, lacking these skills can leave you behind. Just like with English, you don't need to know it to communicate, but it opens many more doors if you do. This is the perspective you should have towards programming and automation!

I really believe that the automation of tasks will enable us to be "more humane" with our fellow coworkers and our customers. It's really going to allow us to have the time to make real connections with other human beings and look for common solutions for problems. These deeper connections will enable more innovation, quicker decisions and better overall solutions for customers.

This will allow you to spend less time in doing mundane task and more times to think about what the future holds, what are the skill sets that you need to develop for future job opportunities, and how do you continually leverage the new AI enabled tools that are coming out in the marketplace.

Automation can't replace human creativity! While AI excels at tasks and analysis, unique solutions and creative recommendations still require human ingenuity. That's where diverse perspectives and lived experiences come into play.
