It is very valuable if you can find a customer that is willing to work with you on the solution, because they badly need it and are willing to pay for it. The pitfall of that is that the customer will want exactly the solution for their need and not a generic transferable solution. Try to validate with other potential customers or experts and try to keep it a general usable solution.

To design a solution you need to understand what is good and what is bad about the existing ways the customer solves the problem. What do existing solutions well and where they fail. You probably should focus on providing a viable/usable solution that addresses these problems first. Design it around the ways users work. Ideally you solve the most urgent problem first. If that is too hard check if you can provide a solution that is good enough to be valid for a customer segment. Speak with the customers and validate if you can.

Nobody has all the skill to start a company. You need to complement your skills with people who have skills or contacts you are missing. Even with a great product, it is hard to even get the change to show your product or get people who would be willing to pay for it to use it. Time is money and everybody's inbox is full with spam/cold calls of people to sell you something. The right partners can be invaluable. Partners that are not willing to invest time or resources, are however only a drain on you.
