I've said this before but let me repeat it: "I got my highest-paid writing gig on Twitter before coming to LinkedIn." How? I optimized my profile. Everything about my profile and timeline was "football writer" I shared links to my content, posted reviews and match reports, and engage top writers in the niche. Unfortunately, I lost the account. All I'm saying is, you can promote your writing career through social media. Start with LinkedIn Move to Twitter Try Facebook Just try and see.

I always say that networking is good but with the right people. Networking will help in - getting new connections - learning new things - meet experts - show your skills - people to collaborate - Sharing and listening experiences - getting recommendations - getting support When you are laid off, it will help you get opportunities through the network. Many people refer people they know. Use networking as a tool to enhance yourself. Go to networking events often.
