Embracing learning during your AR internship is a game-changer. Think of it as a never-ending adventure in the evolving tech world. One thing that helped me a lot in my internships was to ask my colleagues questions. No need to be shy, they were in the same position as you some time ago. You’ll also make them feel good about themselves if they’re able help you =)). In my experience when you bump into something new you can either ask someone that is more proficient or dive into it headfirst! The latter does wonders too in your learning process.

As mentioned above, thinking out of the box is usually the trend these days, but for AR it is always going to be so. One such case was when I had to deploy WebAR for a model as huge as a factory. The most complicated task was to ensure that user interactions remain clean. This is not a typical textbook scenario, needs extensive trial and error methodology to build. When you encounter problem solving challenges like these, 1. Think like a layman on what needs to be done 2. Build the developer concepts and visualization around it. Just like putting muscles around bones 3. Share and receive feedback, keep repeating until you are satisfied 4. Start the design process (or whatever project protocol your company follows)

I remember working on AR technology a couple of years ago, for a football training experience. At first I didn’t even knew where to start from but a broke the problem up into multiple smaller challenges and started solving what I was comfortable with first. Then I started reading the docs and started implementing the SDK into project, one feature at a time. I think it’s valuable that you don’t isolate only the stuff that you need from the docs and experiment with other stuff too. I remember playing around with hands-tracking although it was not required for the project we were working on. And remember, every time you solve a problem, you get better and more confident.
