Sales is sales - switching from one industry to another requires one main thing which is : understand what you are selling. If you are moving into tech sales the first thing you need to do is learn how the tech works, how it is implemented and how it ads value to customers. Learning technical jargon is a bonus - however be selective of who you use technical jargon with as som prospects will not understand. If you are able to test it your self, spend time reviewing all its functionalities and take note of how those functionalities could potentially add value to a customer. Remember selling is about portraying value, but it starts with you understanding the value.
