I will use myself as a case study here. Before leaving my job to start up my business, I first did my research: I figured if entrepreneurship would be profitable than my corporate 9-5 job. Now with my employment comes a steady monthly income however with entrepreneur, you have to provide the resources to drive it before expecting an income. Hence I had to carryout my research: If what I want to venture into is needed, if there is a market for it, if I had the operational resources to carry out the project. Being convinced that I could suffice, I break off from my job. Hence this is why it is important to thoroughly do your research before transitioning from your job into Enterprenuership, so you don't burn out in the long run

Yes I second to this. Planning is the next step to take after accessing life outside the 9-5 life. For me, i started with getting my business legally registered with the corporate bodies in my country. Acquiring my business Tax ID so that I won't face any interruptions when I start operating. I wrote out my business plan to serve as a guide and road map for me. With my business plan, I began applying for funding such as grants to fund my business idea. I also crafted a model whereby I could keep my business operating and earning profit even as I wait or apply for external funding. Planning helps you navigate the dynamics, complexities and challenges in business.

Personally, the skills I learned in the corporate world actually helped me cause I also ventured into the same line of business. Having worked in a printing organization, starting mine wasn't a big deal because I had gathered experience, built operational, soft and technical skills to drive the business. For others who may venture into a business different from anything they experience while working in a corporate firm, it is advisable that they learn the necessary needed for their business growth. skills are important resources needed to build business. Meeting these people has impacted me personally, joined communities that brought many business deals and opportunities so yes networking is important

I leveraged the Internet to build my online presence, embracing cost effective strategies without investing much and not being at the verge of a any risk. So I had my job and my business going on at the same time. I only pulled out from my job completely when my business began to gain more ground and I was convinced I could suffice.
