Every class I take gives me some new connections, and the biggest value I get from the people from different roles and backgrounds. Each of them bring their prespective to the shared topic, and often it brings absolutely new view I have never thought before. We work in quite complex environment with dozens of roles and it's impossible to have the same knowledge and point of view for everyone. So listen to the people coming to discuss something, and also be brave to be an stranger and bring your point of view to the topic you find challenging or jsut new for you!

I attended a mentoring workshop recently and the topic was on negotiation. The instructor then gave everyone a series of questions to help determine whether you were a giver, taker or balancer. It turns out givers trnded to become highly successful because of the relationships they build through their willingness to put out first, and also the reciprocity that they receive from those they have helped.
