Although priotirizing tasks is important in Facilities Management, I see presence of a backup person or process to maintain the existing and ongoing processes, data entry, projects to defend your back is cruical, in Facilities Management high priority tasks will never ends, and moving forward without maintaining your own back yard will cost you more in far future, and in near future it will increase the number of risky tasks.

One thing I have found useful is to prioritise my tasks based on risk. Whether it be financial risk or health and safety risk. In the event a task is a health and safety risk and that risk is deemed high enough, it goes to the top of the list. Other items may not be deemed as high risk and thus will sit lower on the list of priorities.

I agree with this. However, in an administration environment, the priority should be on the calendar. Ensure that you have clear set days for specific tasks and allow yourself an hour each day for focus time. In the event something has to be done or takes priority, you are able to then move the task at that time to the slot in the day that you've allocated focus time. In regards to interruptions, ensure you set expectations. Give people clear time frames and ask people for clear targets. This will help manage your workload.
