At its heart, coaching is a human endeavor built on the sacred space created by two or more people. The challenge is accessibility - coaching is expensive and many times those who would benefit the most from coaching are unwilling to invest in it. The value of technology (AI specifically) will be to make human development more accessible to more people. However, I'm reluctant to call it "coaching" for the reason mentioned above. Instead, I would call it "AI guided reflection and growth". So I agree that Leadership Training is enhanced by certain technologies. However, for the time-being the heart of coaching will remain unchanged. In fact, I believe that the emergence of AI will place a premium on more traditional coaching approaches.

I fully agree that embracing new technologies is a must for any successful accredited coach who may wish to establish his/her own coaching academy. Building an e-commerce website which includes a learning platform makes It easy for potential clients to onboard the coaching academy.

There are some of the trends in coaching in my mind: Virtual Coaching: The surge in remote coaching has led to extensive global coaching networks, linking coaches and clients across various locations and offering a more comprehensive perspective. The pandemic played a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of virtual coaching. Hybrid Coaching Models: The emergence of hybrid coaching models, integrating both in-person and virtual sessions are delivered, catering to diverse client preferences. There’s an intriguing emergence of specialized niches — including metaverse coaching. AI-Powered Coaching: It is actively reshaping coaching practices. AI-driven tools play a vital role in offering insights into client progress, monitoring outcomes.

La necesidad de redefinir el coaching como un sistema de entrenamiento de habilidades directivas es imprescindible para saber desde el punto en el que nos posicionamos al respecto. Si bien es cierto, la IA puede facilitar el traspaso de información, me parece que sólo una AGI podría generar verdaderamente un posicionamiento de saberes en la profundidad que un líder de alto desempe?o merece y necesita. Mientras tanto debemos apuntar a la utilización de tecnología, siempre de la mano del liderazgo de profesionales bien formados que faciliten la consolidación de competencias directivas acorde a nuestros tiempos.

As a leadership development coach, continuous learning is essential for staying relevant and effective in today’s rapidly changing business environment. Afterall, leadership is not a destination—it’s a continuous journey of growth and learning. Some practical tips based on personal experience are: 1) Set clear learning goals & plan both short term and long terms. E.g. I want to learn problem solving techniques and for which I will finish there 2-3 online learning courses this week (short term). I want to learn product management in next 8-12 months, for which I will complete these 2 certifications, read "abcxyz" book and attend these conference etc. (long term) 2)Learn from experience & networking 3) Seek Feedback :)

Continuous learning is not just about acquiring knowledge. Skilled coaches realize the importance of growing their capacity through reflection, self-care, renewal and practice. I personally attend some form of education on a near weekly basis. Learning new theories and techniques can be counterproductive if you don't understand who you are and what your vision is for your practice.

As a Leadership Development Coach I regularly : 1. Document my learning in a form of presentation which can be used in my sessions 2. Read a book every month on topics and write blogs 3. Contribute on Linkedin learnings

All learning certificates should come with continuous education units to maintain the certification. One time knowledge dumps are as good as the first ingredient on a recipe.

Also think about the below: 1. Engage in Continuous Research: Regularly read books, articles, and research papers on leadership and coaching to stay updated on the latest trends and insights. 2. Collaborate with Innovators: Seek opportunities to collaborate with individuals or organizations known for their innovative approaches to leadership development. This can involve participating in joint projects, co-authoring articles, or attending collaborative workshops. 3. Experiment with New Tools and Technologies: Explore emerging coaching tools, software, and technologies that can enhance coaching effectiveness and efficiency. Experimenting with new tools allows coaches to adapt to changing needs and preferences of clients.

A diferencia de otras plataformas y aplicaciones de partición en línea donde la gente participa de manera anónima y muchas veces, con comentarios groseros. LinkedIn se conserva como una red de participación profesional, donde las diferencias se gestionan con respeto. Me sorprende como la gente se conecta con las buenas aportaciones de unos y otros. Estamos en una Sociedad de Información. En una Sociedad del Conocimiento. Pero, sobre todo en una Sociedad de ense?anza-aprendizaje permanente.

Con el transcurrir de los a?os cada profesional va desarrollando su propio enfoque. Desde ahí el desarrollar lazos de colaboración permite nutrirse de otras experiencias y aportar también con la propia. Lo mismo ocurre con la participación en seminarios u otras actividades de formación. La mejora continua debe implementarse primero en el profesional que entrena a líderes y equipos, sólo así se puede traspasar coherentemente a otros.

Without networking no coaching practice, be curious about what is happening in and outside of the coaching world. For me as a Career Coach it is crucial to remain connected to the world of work and to meet professionals from different backgrounds to find out about their key challenges.

Networking is more specific as a coach. We network with the ideal target client. We find our forums for networking with other coaches based on our preference. I am strongly aligned with ICF, therefore I prefer to network with other ICF coaches. I believe in the science of coaching, therefore I network with people who also are interested in the science of coaching.

Un buen entrenador de habilidades directivas entiende al ser humano en su integralidad. Para eso a mi me ha resultado integrar mis intereses por la literatura en lengua espa?ola, conocimientos sobre historia y sobre política, incorporar la visión espiritual de la moral de Occidente, todo lo que nos caracteriza como civilización. Encontrar buenos autores e investigadores en Coaching de Desarrollo de Liderazgo, es como encontrar "oasis" en medio del desierto. Una vez lo encuentras, lo debes incluir en tu "Cartografía" para seguir pendiente de sus aportaciones.

Los ejecutivos son personas que siempre están desafiadas con la gestión del tiempo. Bajo esa consideración, al finalizar cada sesión los invito a escribir qué fue lo que aprendieron del encuentro y si quieren agregar algo que les gustaría mejorar de la intervención realizada. Así uno puede ir afinando las actividades sucesivas, además de facilitar la evaluación final tras concluido el proceso completo. Eso es algo que valoran mucho, porque les hace la tarea más fácil y no pierden la perspectiva del progreso a lo largo del tiempo.

It is important to spend more time receiving feedback from your clients. Be courageous, come up with a potential testimonial and email it to your client to get his/her feedback.

There has been the practice of supervision. Back in the 90th of the last century feedback was pushed (again) to another meta-level with teaching on and learning supervision as a practice. Feedback of a client is good, necessary and should not evoke any fears at all. Should be regular, absolutely standard. Belongs to the practice. As should supervision. Some or other form of feedback from someone being older than you in this task should be regularly searched for and worked with. This will help with getting faster off side tracks. All of this topic - please get it easy. You have only one father with his godlike authority. No one else has this role and in spite of all most of the other humans are, well, human.

Reflecting what you have learned is the best way to retain the topic. There are many ways to do so : 1. Write a blog 2. Create video content 3. Share your insights in conferences 4. And the best way is to Teach the topic to others

The one thing that I've always done is to Journal. Journals help us reflect on what worked well and what can be improved. Also, it helps us to get out of our heads. Sometimes, I find when I can't let something go - I said something I consider "wrong" or inconsiderate or not what I wanted to say - I can't let it go!!! So, I write about it. There are so many types of journals. Check out my book, "The Journal Book: Your Journaling Journey" on Amazon. It can help you with your reflective practice. BTW, they call it PRACTICE because we will not ever be finished learning.

Regardless of which coaching models you are using, they need to be tailored to your client's needs. Reflective practice isn't just about refining your existing techniques. It's a path to discovering new strategies that have the potential to transform your client's experiences.

Reflection is important and can be enhanced from seeking feedback from trusted peers. All humans lean towards the negative, it is important to reflect on what felt right twice as much as what felt wrong. Cultivating a habit of reflection is beneficial if done in a manner of self-compassion and curiosity.

En efecto, invitar a las personas a que después de cada sesión escriban sobre lo que se llevan después de reunirnos hace que una vez finalizada la intervención, puedan evaluar sus progresos de manera más profunda, creando espacios de diálogo en los que se construya un aprendizaje colaborativo que enriquezca tanto al cliente como al profesional que realiza la intervención en su mejora continua.

I say always reflect on your practice, your average client, your exceptional client and your above average client. Record what work best for them and create a coaching anthology or journal that you update as you go along. Using this personalized case approach help you to establish best practices and models related to your target audience and clients So you can become innovative and creatively match, adapt and flex parts of the coaching models to upgrade and create new and improved models to meet the current demands of your clients. You can share your prescribed models through your network, coaches with a similar mindset and mentors who are proven to be at the top of their game to get expert feedback. El coaching no es otra cosa más que el proceso de entrenar habilidades en otros. Para eso hay que aplicar metodología. Quien entrena habilidades directivas debe conocer y aplicar algún Modelo de Gestión por Competencias, alguno de Gestión del Cambio y otro de Alto Desempe?o. Eso es lo que da el carácter de profesionalismo a la intervención y permite la diferenciación con otras personas que ofrecen lo mismo pero sin una formación fuerte de base. Luego, los resultados hablan por sí mismos.

Carefully investigate the inner foundation of this urge - again and again, so that finally you feel so connected to this spring of inspiration that there is no need to refer to it. You use it like your tongue. This basis has a huge impact on your abilities in coaching or as a mentor. Be aware of the fact that usually this is a multi-level thing, it has several layers of truth - and all these different inner statements *are* true, right?! It is worth your time going deep and not forget what you found. Obviously the darkest on the deepest level is not the only truth, right?!!
