Having sold my business 10 years ago one of the things that I didn't realise is that I would feel a bit lost. I went from being an entrepreneur running a business, managing teams and clients with lots to do, to essentially having very little to do in the company that acquired us. They wanted me there to keep the existing team and clients happy and on board, but they didn't want me doing any meaningful work as they knew I was going to leave the business (as agreed) after the handover.
