I trully agree with this opinion. I am one of those who believe that this teaching is very true and is sure that it is widely confirmed by the public, but we do not always realize that in conducting candidate interviews we intentionally or not make fatal neglect, do not fully listen to the candidate's words, even unfortunately we have the intention of only focusing on the information conveyed from the candidate that we have in the scenario, nothing more. In fact, trying to make yourself a good active listener is one way to create sincere ties, which is very good for starting a network that will be useful in the future.

Para que el postulante se sienta cómodo y pueda desenvolverse bien en la entrevista es bueno que como reclutadores realicemos una conversación para "romper el hielo". Esto ayudará a calmar al postulante y a obtener respuestas sinceras. Esta técnica no se debe abusar para no crear una conversación informal pero es una buena herramienta para tener respuestas amplias y bajar la tensión del ambiente en ocasiones puntuales.

El lenguaje corporal es clave para inspirar confianza y apertura en una entrevista. Como reclutador es muy bueno estar sentado no al frente si no que a un costado de la persona, ya que así el postulante no se siente intimidado o juzgado. También el tener una voz suave y con volumen controlado suma más a la confianza que el postulante tenga en las respuestas. Y como último siempre mirando a los ojos y tratar de no tocarse mucho la cara ya que eso indica nerviosismo de parte del entrevistador lo que podría hacer pensar al postulante de que uno no maneja bien la entrevista.

And we should apply emotional intelligence (EQ) not only during interviews but during our interactions with candidates.That way, it will be easy for us to find results early on whether this candidate is "standard, should be avoided, or above standard".and it could be the other way around that we as interviewers will be assessed that way, whatever it's, whether that value is attached only to our person or to us and the company's name(also tarnished).Today's people have a tendency towards sincere friendships. For those who are not used to being sincere and prioritizing their desires/ambitions, they will immediately be overwhelmed by the good environment that exists because of the sincere activities of the people in it.

Es importante luego de una entrevista analizar las propias conductas y emociones que se sintieron con el postulante, ya que de esa forma se puede dar una lectura de como se desenvolvió la persona y a la vez de que cosas uno como entrevistador puede mejorar o poner atención. Al ser seres humanos las emociones y comportamientos dan mucha más información de lo que se puede decir en una conversación.

Unpopular Opinion: Discussing new skills in an interview is a BAD idea. Yes, many people get new certs or finish courses on LinkedIn, Udemy, etc... and they want to show that off. In the interview, unless it is a HIGHLY crucial skill that you had to have to even get into this... avoid weaving it in. Focus on what the company needs today and in the next 2-3-5 years and how your background and experience can help them. You must resonate and who that you are the right candidate. So yes, stay up with industry trends, and skills- but don't utilize them as your focus.

Como entrevistador y reclutador siempre se debe estar estudiando para estar actualizado en multiples herramientas y acciones que se pueden implementar no solo en las entrevistas si no que en todo el proceso organizacional. Tener varios cursos nunca es malo, pero si se debe tener un objetivo o una meta para no desviarse hacia demasiados temas.
