Smart adoption of certain techniques (e.g., automation) and technologies (e.g., generative AI) across the entire workflow is key, rather than a piecemeal implementation for certain use cases. First, understand what your pain points are. Then, determine where you want to be this year and in 2-3 years. Draft a tactical plan (including technologies and techniques that could benefit you) and create a pragmatic value case. Pragmatic means a value case that you and your business partner can realistically commit to. My experience suggests that transforming one workflow in its entirety creates more value than trying different use cases across different workflows.
