Conflict can happen due to various reasons. One way to resolve the conflict is to give credit for the works of the supervised team. Keep the work completely professional and that way it may avoid causing issues in the relationship. Best way to prevent this is active listening and to promote problem solving skills as well as making the workspace to be shared-responsibility with task-specific authority.
