I am keeping The safety and Well-being of the team at the Job site on High Priority, as the skilled work force is the backbone of industry. Therefore, site specific hazards should be identified at time of mobilization and rectified appropriately to avoid major incidents or accidents during execution of work. Regular EHS inspection scheduled conducted through HIRA committee. Everyone should make aware about the preventive actions in case of Fire, Machine accident, etc. At work / job specific safety training on Guidelines, prevention action including use of PPEs should be given monthly basis. Pep talks Tool box talks should be organised frequently.

To keep safety and well-being of the team I would recommend to apply all Company HSE standards with 0 tolerance: safe transportation, safe workplace, safe behaviour. To stay well-being especially during shift work I suggest to have some team buildings, attend birthday parties and support each other at work and outside.

All of the items listed are important. They may and do change priority based on the project. The one constant is that "Repition Aids Learning." Repeat your Safety message at every opportunity.

Tools need to be in clean, good working order. When workers use the same tools that they are not financially responsible for, they tend to neglect them. Rotate responsibilities on maintenance of tools and inspect them as necessary, weekly is a good start. Call out the issues found and praise the good quality.

Some contract schedules can vary in the hours per week. Projects that follow a standard 40 hour to 50 hour do not regularly suffer from job burn out and mental fatigue. However, when projects demand 60+ hour work weeks over an extended period of time then you can really start to see the health decline of employees. It is important to allocate resources properly, so employees do not get overworked or overwhelmed with their job duties. Overworked employees are prone to lapses in judgement and environmental awareness. Close calls leading up to an equipment strike should not only be adapted to our equipment, but also to the employees working within a jobsite. Keeping mental focus & fatigue into account can keep the jobsite safe and productive.

When it comes to risk management, we need to focus more on the critical risks and ensure adequate controls are in place for every identified critical risk on the job hazard assessment. Primarily with the front line supervision and workers. We have shown improvement with TRIF and yet our SIF trends have not changed much. We need more emphasis in these areas with the intent to stop work if the controls are not adequate period. We shouldn't have to stop work because of the risks. We shouldn't start unsafe work.

You must be ahead of them and let their be penalties for any one who ignored the rules and institutions. Some of the workers don't care ,they are only after the money. Thanks

Desde que se participa de una propuesta de contrato se debe tener claro cuales son los rieagos que se asumiran, dado que cuando se inicie el proyecto, ya sea de dise?o o construcción, ya se tiene claro que riesgos se asumen de acuerdo a la naturaleza del contrato que se ha firmado. Realizar una matriz de riesgos y designar quien es el propietario de ese riesgo, ayudara a tener una adecuada gestión de riesgos, esta matriz debe ser revisada paulatinamente con el objetivo de mitigar estos riesgos y evitar, en la medida de los posible que se materialicen.

Leesons learned are important for any project within construction because it gives a good overview of improvements that could be done for the future. Continuous improvement should never be misinterpreted for only being a way to improve production. Having project management look over any lessons learned either weekly or quarterly is essential in learning from prior mistakes. Companies that do not have lessons learned meetings might have action items reoccur without fully realizing why.

Continuous improvement, appears almost a myth these days, but it doesn't need to be. It starts with integrity, for a business to honestly have continuous improvement, it must first want it, honestly. It takes an honest lessons learnt to start the process, followed by mitigation techniques, and implementing those actions to avoid or reduce the matter requiring the improvement. Most businesses say they seek continuous improvement, even that they implement a lessons learnt process, however, through experience, this appears a gimmick, a rouse. A tried and tested method for continuous improvement, left by the wayside for no obvious reason, yet simple to implement for the business seeking enhancements.

I prefer a good working friendly environment for my team safety and well being. A friendly environment could make possible the impossible task.

Weekly jobsite meeting to remind people of safety issues and remind everyone where and how they can report any safety or hazards is always a great way to keep people safe and yourself. Remember safety first, we all have family and people we like to go home to at the end of the day.
