This starts the moment you hear about the layoff. How do you deal with your emotions? What's your overall attitude? If you still have time left in role (which is usual in Europe), how do you engage with your stakeholders? Remember: nobody remembers how you entered a company, but everyone remembers how you left. No matter how angry or hurt you may be, if you leave a good impression, it's much easier to reach out to stakeholders later on and ensure you stay on their radar when a job becomes available in their network.

Weiterhin Kontakt pflegen ist sehr wichtig. Dabei sollte man vor allem Kontakt zu den Stakeholder pflegen, die a) wichtig sind und b) mit denen man pers?nlich zu zurechst kommt. Denn gerade falls bei einem selbst eine (starke), ggf. sogar negative Betroffenheit vorliegt, sollte man auch mit den eigenen (emotionalen) Ressourcen schonend umgehen und sich eher mit den Menschen umgeben, die einem gut tun.

What's happened has happened. Fighting about it won't change the inevitable. Accept it and then gauge how can you use the existing relationship to get you the much needed recommendations for future career options. Be cordial with your seniors as well as HR personnel and try to maintain the repo whereby you can leverage these connects in future.
