Rejections will happen, but true failure only occurs when you’ve given up or neglected to learn from mistakes. Furthermore, seemingly negative events can be positive if you learn and take actions to improve. This is why feedback is so critical. It’s data that contains the reason why an outcome occurred regardless of desirability. If your resume has been rejected 50 times yet you continue to apply using the same resume, you’re failing to learn. However, if you’re rejected 50 times and then ask why, you’re on the right track. Start by asking someone familiar with interview processes to review your resume and contribute feedback. Then use the feedback to adapt your resume. Ultimately, in order for your results to change you need to change.
