For instance, if you’ve led a project that increased sales, reduced costs, or improved efficiency, present these results with specific numbers and outcomes. Concrete results provide compelling evidence of your value and effectiveness, making a strong case for your promotion.

There are problem solvers and problem admirers - don’t be a problem admirer. You will soon realize that there are two incredibly easy things you can do in order to shine brighter than the rest: - when you see a problem, fix it or at least come up with solutions to fix it. That’s what leaders do. That will show you think like a leader. - hold yourself and your team accountable. Meet your deadlines and exceed expectations. And, most importantly, learn how to inspire your team to stay accountable as well. 85% of leaders are not good with accountability. Be the difference maker.

One must view feedback as a way to self-growth and not take them negatively. We must have a regular analysis of our work as it is a way to foster growth and meet client expectations.

Stay Visible Attend important meetings, conferences, and company events. Engage in discussions, ask insightful questions, and share your expertise. AND Develop a Personal Brand Establish a professional online presence, including a LinkedIn profile and personal website or blog. Showcase your skills, experience, and achievements.

When I was at Tile, I crafted my VPE role and got my boss promoted to CTO by crafting a proposal that showed how it benefited the company to create this new role, and how it aligned with the company goals and objectives.
