However, I think you get a more authentic conversation in a more free-flowing conversation where you try to make all voices heard. Even though it's the harder route that takes more planning, thinking, and being nimble, having a more free-flowing conversation can be worth it. I can picture conversations where someone makes a casual remark, and several of us respond, "Wait, what?" it transforms the conversation because we know something new. In particular, I remember a situation where we learned a limitation of an LMS. The free-flowing conversation led us to the details that changed the direction of our project.
