I like to think about it like this, yes I may be a good writer, but I prefer to speak, therefore I wouldn’t do well in a position that was writing heavy, because I would begin to hate it and eventually stop doing it or lower its quality. When matching of the volunteers to the needs that are available, it has to be a win-win situation. Allowing the volunteers to work on skillsets that they need to practice and learn from is a great way to increase confidence, the event also wins by having volunteers that are determined to do a great job.
