I completely agree with this article. During my work as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst at Samsung Electronics, I had got a chance to work with the Automation Testing team at the lab at T-mobile launchpad office. Since each device software update needs to undergo a number of different tests before release, relying simply on manual testing is not a reliable option. Various Automation Testing tools and Automation Testing Robot was used to perform a huge number of tests to identify any critical issues and validate important software features and device performance before releasing the software update to the public. Using Automation Testing for this process also allowed a Test Engineer to test multiple devices at once.

Automated tests are integrated with CI, triggered by your code push to run overnight. Once tests are complete, results are emailed to you, and a summary is sent via webhook to your communication system. By continuously testing, issues can be caught early, significantly reducing the risk of post-deployment problems.
