Here's how you can nurture and promote creativity in nursing education and training.

No question is ever irrelevant or shallow. Most at times, the difference is hidden in the little details which shouldn't be neglected. As nursing students or new nurses, always ask questions to clarify your doubts or broaden your understanding of a particular procedure or treatment plan. When asking these questions, remain focused and pay attention to details and this will enable you to think critically and further question existing practice that doesn't feels right. By doing this, your creative power keeps growing and you willbe able to contribute positively to patient care.

In my experience the ability to reflect on my actions has been a great way of engaging in a process of continuous learning. Reflecting on your past experience, roles and behaviour helps you to identify your strengths and weaknesses giving you room for improvement. Reflective practice enables you to think deeply and question your actions and existing conditions. This deep thoughts can spark curiosity and answers to these questions, help you see things in a different way thereby activating your creative power.

Diverse perspectives and experiences fosters creativity. When professionals from other health care disciplines collaborate, everyone brings a different mixed of ideas and approaches based on their unique experience. Some of their ideas can be an answer to a question you've been thinking about and this can further push you to think outside of the box and consider different ways of addressing patient's needs. A combination of diverse knowledge from professionals from different fields can truly lead to creative breakthroughs in health care and improve patient outcomes and experience.

With the constant evolution in the health care field. The ability to learn, unlearn, relearn and stay up to date with evidence based approaches to patient care is very crucial especially with the advancements in technology. Personal, I always take proactive steps to learn new things not just in a formal classroom setting but also by attending and participating in virtual and face to face training, conferences and workshops. Continous education in this rapidly expanding industry helps you to understand, nurture and use your creative power.

Encouraging research and evidence-based practice is crucial for fostering creativity in nursing education. By engaging students in research projects, they are prompted to think innovatively and solve complex problems using scientific methods. Additionally, teaching students to apply evidence-based practices not only improves patient care but also encourages them to creatively adapt and implement the latest research findings in practical settings.
