Further to @Nussi's input, observational research is extremely valuable no matter if it's an already in-market product, or a future product prototype. Data will get you so far (time-on-task, etc..) but watching what users actually do, is pure gold. The secret to that lies in assuring participants that they themselves are not being observed, it's the product behaviour we are watching. Test the designs, not the people using them.

Ideate fast, ideate often. You won't reach there directly. It's a topsy-turvy path and you can follow your deadline for sure because iterations can be infinite. But one thing is for sure that with every iteration you'll become better than last time (if you're implementing positive constructive feedback diligently). Clients love prototypes, they love live design sessions, have them more often. Brainstorm your solutions with your team, design is outside Figma. Tools are secondary, primary stuff is to understand what you're solving and how you're doing it.

I cannot stress more on this one seriously. Design is a team activity and by team I do not mean humans necessarily. Yes you heard me right, in a small team you might be alone as well but you've got Ai by your side. In a larger team, well you have humans as well as Ai both. Collaboration is key and Covid times have shown us how to do it. There's this entire book on Digital Business Transformation which you can read if you're interested. There's just no excuse for not practicing it. Everytime you try to skip past it, you deliver beautiful looking UI with no real use case as you've been dabbling with Dribble and Figma alone. Go ahead, talk to people. Ask them indirect questions, note it down. Discuss with your team. They'll love it.

I'd definitely encourage to get feedback. Conduct design critique sessions, learn about the KPI that different teams are tracking, see how you can help them achieve those with design. Set up the expectations clear!

Embrace 'good constructive feedback' and how to filter that depends from person to person. I don't value feedback that's vague, it needs to have a value, don't tell me to make it pop, I won't. Be more specific and if you can't be specific well then your feedback is just a personal opinion and there's very little room for personal opinion in a designer's life for sure.
