Outline the mindset and behavioral attributes; Introduce concepts like - Self organizing teams, responding to changes quickly, frequent delivery of value, continuous improvement, no fear of failure, etc. as the core of the practice 3. Outline how things are different from traditional SDLC 4. Finally, implement actual practice of ceremonies

Engaging with the problem can enhance our understanding and reveal necessary actions. It's true that Agile promotes self organization & the old saying that a good scrum master (SM) would help a scrum team to a point that they will no longer need a SM due to being fully organized, but that's a myth as well. Being self organized is a good practice, but not to a point that will become distracting to what's more important at the core to each member of the team. The SM's and PM's of the orgs are there to help with removing impediments, help with blockers and dependencies and look out for risks, estimations and planning process, better known as "keeping everyone honest". These are business practices that have nothing to do with coding and would be better handled by folks that are on the admin/mgmt side of things.

Measuring success is no different than any other field. Continuity is the key. Having the ability to keep to the same velocity sprint after sprint and then on top of that, showing progress and raising the velocity over time after several sprints (given there are no changes in the members of the team) and keeping that as well on consistent basis is another shining example of success for a team. In the meantime, the flip side of the coin is for the organization that the team is a part of to continuously help support and contribute to the growth and flourishment of their teams by making sure they have the resources, environments and continuous education they require to grow and give back to their company.
