I would share an experience on the cartridge filter DP monitoring. where the Plant Foreman report the filter is dirty and each time replaced. i and the team we opened a process troubleshooting on this Cartridge filter located in the TEG dehydration unit. At the end we found that gases forms inside the filter disturbe DP measurement due to poor skimming issues. as a final solution we installed a venting line for the filter shell where the plant operator vent first before judge the filter dirty or not. In Conclusion: Don't judge the filter replacement frequency is due to solid deposits, consider the possibility of vapors that could disturb the measurement of Delta P across the filter.
