Listen. Often. When I think I know how to proceed on a project, I pause. Gaining insight from all stakeholders has taught me many valuable lessons. I take the time to hear from all the parties, this puts me in a better position to communicate with the group as a whole, since the entire picture is clear. Then I wait. Time has a way of working out things that can't be worked out otherwise. It sounds counterproductive, but this listen-and-wait method has never failed me.

Sometimes the easiest thing to do is most often forgotten. Talking to them and checking the pulse is one of the best things. It shows engagement on your part, allows them to communicate things that may be a little issue to them, but they feel it not important enough to complain about. Open communication fixes many things
