The allocate time to the priority task should be flexible. If you are making great progress be willing to add more allocated time. If you stumble on a hard problem be willing to take a break or work on a less challenging task. In the background think of how to solve that hard problem. My best solutions come from taking a shower, jogging, working on the garden or waking in the middle of the nite thinking about my hard problem
