Network is the virtual golden protocol to crack any prospect to a successful opportunity. Meet and greet people everywhere with integrity. Our character and quality of our product will take us to the right contact if the universe aligns in our favour. Starting with executive producers to production managers and actors managers , every single contact is important to grab the opportunity.

I disagree with this suggestion.. The old adage "Jack of all trades, Master of none''' comes to mind. Keep up your expertise level, and learn the newest technologies that apply to your preferred career position. You will feel comfortable in that task, and probably accomplish exceptionally superior work. References and level of skill, go a long way, when competing for a new project.

With AI and ChatGPT and many other technologies playing a larger role in production it’s very important to have a working understanding of these new technologies. You might not like it, but it’s not going away so learn how to use it. You don’t have to use it, but learn HOW to use it. As more advances are made in tech and new methods are developed it’s important for you to stay informed and ahead of the curve.

We should embrace technology as early as possible. Delaying its adoption puts us at a disadvantage, as being early adopters allows us to fully understand and leverage the potential future technology can bring. This includes tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT and other innovations, as well as new cameras and industry advancements.

One question you should always ask yourself '' Are you on the cutting or bleeding edge of technology? '' The bleeding edge requires resources, as the technology changes rapidly. The cutting edge means you forego the latest technology, until it is well established. You are not bleeding money that you probably, don't have to spend on tech, trying to keep up with the Joneses. Making sure you have a solid gig prior to purchasing tech, is usually the best option. Learning while getting paid is always a great thing.

Downtime between client work is very common. Every now and then during these periods, creating your own projects is a powerful way to showcase your unique voice and talent. What style are you curious about that you can explore at your own pace? This not only allows you to experiment but also serves as a calling card to demonstrate your capabilities

You should always have a private portfolio just for yourself. You can try out new formats, new content, new styles without the pressure of your boss/ customer or colleagues. Try different editing styles that you have seen, try crazy camera slides that you normally not do. Plan out some in camera transitions that you always wanted to do. Ask yourself, what kind of content would help me improve for the future. What kind of content and value can I provide as a content creator.

Asking questions helps you understand why things work, why people do certain things, and how they think and tackle challenges. This perspective can aid you in facing challenges differently. Receiving and giving feedback to everyone is essential.
