Here's how you can maximize efficiency in your workday as an E-Learning professional.

As an e-learning professional, prioritising tasks helps you manage time effectively. Work can get tiring and challenging when you don't plan well for your tasks. That's why it's best to do your tasks according to order of importance and urgency.

To maximize efficiency in your workday, start by setting clear daily goals. Use time-blocking to focus on high-priority tasks during your peak productivity hours, minimizing distractions by turning off non-essential notifications. Leverage tools like project management software to streamline workflows and maintain organized resources. Regularly review and refine processes to eliminate bottlenecks. Lastly, prioritize self-care to maintain energy and focus throughout the day. #eLearning

In my experience, creating 2 "buckets" has been helpful. The leftovers bucket includes anything left over from the week prior that might need some attention. The 2nd bucket is the week ahead detailing tasks that were new to the week. I have digitized all this in Teams Notes making it easy to copy, paste, and modify each Monday. I create subsets under each day of the week to add at the end of the day for to-dos. It's been easy to follow with minimal extra brain work.

I take this very seriously as it helps me plan my day and tasks accordingly. You could use a jotter or sticky notes to write down all you need to do in a day based on priority and then tick each as you finish that way, you don't get distracted as the day progresses and get caught doing other tasks not in your calendar for that day

I block my first 30 minutes of the day to allocate what tasks need to be followed up on and 60 minutes after my lunch period to check in on what busy work needs to get done.

Once you have deciphered what the highest priority tasks are, you need to break them down into smaller assignments or checkpoints along the way. Time blocking is a great strategy to use when tackling smaller parts of a larger goal. Estimate how long each smaller assignment will take and block that time in your calendar. This will ensure it is even possible for you to complete the highest priorities. If time allows, add in the other, less important tasks. I find that if I don’t have a detailed schedule of my tasks, I don’t have time to complete them all or I forget about some. Being organized and having a game plan is the most effective way to be maximize efficiency in your workday.

I absolutely love Pomodoro for time management! I teach it in my classes. The big thing to remember is to get up and move during the 5 minute break. Get a snack, use the bathroom, do a few simple exercises, take a quick walk outside. Moving during the break really helps you get right back into focusing when break time is up.

To avoid burn out and making mistakes, take that break at intervals and perhaps take a walk or a power nap and you will feel refreshed

I particularly delegate tasks to my team as this allows me to focus on tasks that require my expertise at a time. Also it allows my team to showcase their expertise as well while we work collaboratively
