Here's how you can learn from failure and seek feedback in creative problem solving.

When facing a setback, perspective and the ability to learn are crucial. In my experience, failing can be only that when there's a lack of reflection, but when "failure" is met by the interst of knowing why it happened and how it can be prevented, then this event is turned into a huge step towards success.

I agree with that. Failure is the best teacher. It makes one sober, feel sad and best of all, its a time of deep reflection to reevaluate what really happened. A sober mind undertakes then creative thinking to outline the staeps that created the failure. Multiple solutions are reviewed. The issue therefore is accept that failures come. Its a natural occurrence in life. Some are little, while some are colossal. Its a good idea to also discuss a failure with others that could help. It helps to feel better and a second perspective could provide useful insights to better understand how better to handle similar failures.

Failure is honestly and bluntely a way of life, You have to keep the mind set that learning from your mistakes is what makes you stronger. I have failed many of times in my life and career. Now I am where I have always wanted to be and now I have new goals! It's all about perspective make yourself believe and understand and you did not fail you simply need to look for a new path to walk on and always try new paths and never give up! Simply its a MIND SET!

Trust your instincts. I went against mine, and got entangled with a dishonest person in business. He stole the assets of the business, alleged a bunch of documents (that were genuine) had been forged, landed us in two court cases, and cost me a 20% share in a $5m p.a. business. It cost me a lot of time, stress, and hassle. Which is how I learned the hard way to trust my first impressions about someone and if my instincts say no, to listen to them in future. In the context of the topic of "failure", the lesson I learned from the failure to trust my instincts is to make sure I never make a mistake like that again!

Instead of viewing failure as a setback, see it as an opportunity for growth ! Adopting a growth mindset allows you to approach challenges with resilience and openness to new possibilities. I'm "not yet" its a more encorageous mindset that "tirany of error"

I love feedback! I always say the more the merrier :) Seeing my work through the eyes of others, helps me to improve in areas I would not have otherwise noticed because we are not very objective in the view of "self". Whenever I get feedback, I always discuss it with the other person because I can receive further clarification and even ask why they thought something was done well. Feedback in essence provides more clarity, multiple perspectives (which you can either agree or disagree with), and an opportunity to learn and grow. It is great not just for learning about what you need to improve on but also to reinforce where you did well, helping to quash that ugly imposter syndrome!

Ordinarily, the essence of feedback is to improve on the previous/initial. No one should undervalue feedback, as it helps you improve more. Seeking feedback will even help you evaluate what you have been able to carry out, either positive or constructive criticism, be strong and calm enough to accept it. With feedback, you can have a better version of yourself!

Reflecting deeply is surely something I recommend to everyone. During the end of my degrees, in the thesis writing phase, I reflected deeply on how I brought forth my arguments, how they could be improved, and they were organised. I asked myself how I wanted my work to be presented if I were to show it to the world and what was the key message I was trying to relay through the aims and objectives of my research. Self reflection is not only driven by career and academic goals, but it also brings clarity on how you show up in the world, how your core values are reflected in your work. Reflecting helps us to build character, resilience and confidence!

When you don't reflect, you don't review, and when you don't review, you don't progress. Reflecting deeply helps to see what was, what is, and what is to be done. Be reflective, be critical and be analytical!

Don’t wait too long with next attempt. Fail and get up, fail and get up - this is a winner approach ??. Until you learn, optimise, innovate and improve, your chances for success will be increasing ??. This way you can also show your resilience in your community.

Resilience has been my best friend. Although it can be a tough road sometimes, this will build your resilience and adaptability. We will fail, but we have to get back up and learn from the mistakes (and sometimes it takes a few tries). We will also experience discomfort to varying degrees. Instead of viewing discomfort as something to run away from, see it as a moment to creatively think how you can better adapt to a situation. I've found that observation has been the key. For example, if you are in a meeting for the first time at a new job, I advise first observing as much as you can. Once you have critically assessed how the meetings are carried out, the behaviours of colleagues, what is expected of you, then you can adjust and adapt!

It is one thing to seek and receive feedback, it is another thing to integrate and implement the feedback. A feedback not integrated and implemented is as good as nor being fed back at all. Analyse your feedbacks and determine which is needed in what area for integration.

It's important to recognize failure, and not to be defensive about it, or you risk learning nothing from it. Failure is the price you pay for trying sometimes, and sometimes finding out what does not work -- can get you one step closer to the thing that does! Failure can be a step on the road to success... Experience is seldom wasted with this approach.

Do not take failure or (healthy) feedback personally. Try your best to manage separating feelings from facts and keep objectivity at the forefront. We will spend our entire lives learning and growing, so feedback, critique and failure will be constant variables of our lives. Thus, we have to learn to embrace the discomfort and not take things personally. You always have a choice to either take on the feedback/critique or disregard it based on your own trusted discernment.
