I had an impromptu conversation with my (11yo & 8yo) daughters recently. I was asked by my eldest when they would start learning about money management in school, I answered - not for a long time, if at all ... but ... you can start learning about it after school .. if you want to. From free videos on YouTube, Udemy courses costing next to nothing to specialized courses requiring varying investment - it's all there if you look. I shared that in my experience there are people who see education as a chore, those who need to be spoon fed, and some, with a curious mindset who actively & continuously seek things out. I enjoy spending time with the latter, and with them asking questions like that at 11yo, I expect that's what they will become.

It's never been easier than it is right now to learn. I drive 40 minutes to work and 40 minutes back each day and up until about 5 years ago I used to listen to my liked songs on Spotify, listen to random music on Heart FM, catch up on happenings on Radio 5 .... I used to kill time. During an insightful 1-2-1 with my manager I discovered that I didn't know what I didn't know - so I set out to find out. One Audible subscription later I was consuming at least 80 minutes per work day of, more often than not fantastic insight and knowledge. I haven't looked back - I love my daily commute! There is so much available for so little now that the only excuse for not continuously learning is that you aren't prioritising it and making it happen.

Commit to lifelong learning to stay ahead in the fast-paced tech industry. Pursue new certifications, attend workshops, and participate in industry conferences. Continuous learning helps you acquire new skills and knowledge, keeping your creative edge sharp and relevant.

There are loads of tools out there to help prototype and experiment in all aspects tech innovation. I've used Proto.io in the past and have been able to make some impressive examples of how an idea might shape up with very little effort. Figma is pretty good in this space as well, although I personally favour the former. If you need to test code out there are dozens of tools online to throw a quick routine together - CodePen and JSFiddle being two of my favourites. There's also a lot to be said for just jumping into VS Code and knocking a quick and simple experiment together. If you can avoid getting drawn into over architecture, experiments can be quick, easy, very valuable ways to learn something and tonnes of fun!

My approach is to stay curious! You can either let complacency set in, get bogged down by routines, and let your creativity fade OR.... You can keep pushing boundaries by continuously exploring and learning new things. Here's how you can do it: 1. Dedicate a 30min daily to learning. 2. Experiment with new tools and tech weekly. 3.
