Creativity in this context is to rather think “inside the box”. In the world of SaaS ERPs, the real creativity is to focus on how to align your processes- wherever possible if I may add-to your ERP’s Out of box features, and not to customise your ERP to suit to your ways of working;some ERPs will simply not allow you and for all the right reasons! Think creatively, as to how you can address accompanying change management and ways to increase user adoption.

Personalization techniques enable user-centric design without affecting the ERP source code. Personalization examples like non-standard additional field, calculation and feature satisfy user-specific ERP requirements but are compatible with future ERP upgrades. This can be considered as a major progress in ERP evolution.
