More often than not, skillsets can be taught. This is more true now than it was 5 years ago due to the shift in the machine-learning aspects of the tools we use in digital marketing. It's more important to first explore the potential fit of a candidate within your culture. The two main points I look for are these - Is the person a jerk? And are they teachable? - With those two questions in mind, I develop questions that give me insight based on that particular candidate's background.
