En ocasiones basado en mi experiencia se debe detectar la creatividad dentro del equipo; lo primordial es observar que tan entusiastas son las personas al afrontar nuevos retos, desde cambios en su cotidianidad hasta cambios profundos que los llevaran al límite. De esta manera se tiene claro las personas que forman el equipo quienes tienen realmente la creatividad requerida para nuevos retos; ya que a pesar de que muchos tienen el discurso de hacerlo, sus actitudes son más de producción dentro de su zona de confort.

Creativity isn't limited to specific job titles. Creative members are usually forthcoming and full of ideas, they might be vocal but will find and make an effort to find better ways of doing the regular processes. They are typically inquisitive and the people with “Why” questions are more likely to be creatively innovative. However, cultivating creativity requires an environment where team members feel safe to share their ideas without fear of ridicule or rejection. Allow team members to experiment and take calculated risks and to continually learn and develop new skills. Every individual is creative in a different way, we just need to spot the right frequency.

Instead of traditional brainstorming or dialogue, try "brainwriting”. Brainwriting is a creative idea-generation technique where team members write down their ideas anonymously. This method contrasts with traditional brainstorming, where ideas are typically shared out loud. Brainwriting can lead to a wider range of suggestions and encourages quieter or less confident team members to contribute without the fear of immediate judgment or rejection. During my UX studies, I read about IDEO, which is renowned for its innovative approach to problem-solving. IDEO frequently uses brainwriting to ensure that all team members, regardless of their role, contribute to the creative process.

Provide opportunities for team members to attend workshops, conferences or talks related to their fields. This can expose them to new ideas and spark their creativity. Moreover, allocate a small budget for team members to experiment with new ideas, even if they seem far-fetched at first. This demonstrates trust and allows for exploration, which is key to fostering creativity. Furthermore, recognize and celebrate even the small successes that come from creative endeavors, thus encouraging whole team to think creatively, when they know they are safe and their efforts are recognized.
