You should have defined your program's goals during the initiation phase. If you haven't, it's never too late to establish those goals and your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). KPIs are essential for measuring the success of your program. You can track them regularly and keep your management informed of your progress. Additionally, surveys and data analysis can provide deeper insights into the program's overall impact.

We can say a program is successful when it's achieve it's goal. Thus, setting goal is the 1st step to measure successful and the goal must be SMART and back by KPIs. For example: we may take a project to upgrade the IP Telehony solution of a contact center. Now, the ultimate goal of the project may reduce the down-time of call center from 3% to 0.5%, improve the productivity from 90% to 95%, Reduce AHT from 3 minutes to 2 minutes. These all need to be achieved after certain period of implementing new solution. On-the-other-hand, when the program was kicked-off there are some other KPIs like completion of the program by 6 month and xx amount of budget. These two things also be tracked and fulfilled along with previously mentioned goals.

Goals of my programs were to address issues before they happen, sometimes that is reviewing design selections and verifying there is or is not an issue. So many times I have been able to identify potential issues, many solvable with design adjustments. Design adjustments implemented at the appropriate time cost little and in many cases yield cost savings. In some cases upper management might demand using designs as is, I have followed some such commandments only to regret such a decision latter.
