You always want to think about how to remove work or worries from your boss’s plate. You don’t need to have all the solutions, but you need to have a path to get them or clear ways to mitigate risks. The heavy lift: - Add time with your manager to discuss your performance and how you can develop. - Email stakeholders you work with and ask for feedback on how your worked with them. Small lifts: - Close your weekly 1:1 by asking, 'what's one thing I could do next week to help you?" - In one meeting, ask your stakeholder what they think is going well and what could be improved. - At the end of the month, write 3 bullet points on what you did well and 3 points on improvements. Share with your manager and ask for their thoughts.
