In my experience, factory internships give you a real appreciation of your career choice. In fact, during the theory classes we get an idea of the different possible paths, but it's only once we're in the field that we can appreciate whether or not it corresponds to our aspirations. The other advantage is that it allows us to weave in and out of a complex, well-coordinated system that we can't imagine from theory alone. This gives us enough elements to better classify the importance of each discipline in our training.

Internships is basically a very short duration inside any organization. Once you want to do internship in any organization always keep in mind your objects, what you want to learn. During internship you do not became a master of any field but if you have your set objects and want to fill the gaps between you educational/Bookish knowledge VS real life implication then you surely understand it and during you interview you can represent it very well.

Internship leaves you in the hands of experts in the field. You will get on the job training along with theoritical knowledge directly applied at site and you can hands on experience. This will increase your confidence level to boost yourself as leader and also you will be better than your piers who not gone through intership

If you can't find an internship to work with the cultivar you want to work on in the future, consider first exploring internship options in other crops. The daily work is similar to some extent and the learnings can help you across cultivars and even help to identify problems that are rarer in the crop you want to work with but common in the one you are doing your internship on. If you have a dream to work in an industry, don't drop it because you found a barrier, try to go around it. In new industries, it's important to have this resilience as things tend to shake.

In the quality control operations, we as a team, have to consider that without quality-streamline, the efficacy and patient-satisfaction of a manufactured drug is not possible to achieve. The metrics of a process alllow us to identify potential issues, risks, and quality deviation in a product's life. we assess the level of compliance with performance & behaviour of our trained personnels, who are quality first in operations. Today we can use Process analytical tools such as sensors etc. to evaluate our performance on a continuous front.This can be further achieved through continuous improvement in process, procedures and personnels.

From my perspective, internships offer a valuable chance to cultivate a professional network within the plant operations sector. In my experience, operations is all about process improvement. It’s a game of minutes - how do you reduce touch points, how do you reduce travel time, how do you reduce the amount of capital invested into inventory through JIT (just in time) replenishment systems, and how do you control your downtime - when machines are down, you aren’t making money. In plant operations, if you don’t understand the entire process, then you are not able to make well-informed decisions. This could result in costly errors for the company. By understanding the operations process and flow, the widget you’re producing or the industry you’re working in becomes less important. You will be incredibly valuable to any company wanting to improve profit margin

Identify the hazards in each activity , make the risk assessment and safe work practices, all safety precautions are in place, to avoid any incident, make it known to all team members, and involve every one and start the Job.

The theory taught in many colleges may not be enough to understand the actual process. The intership gives an opportunity to look at the practical application of the theoretical knowledge gained. Besides, the curriculum hardly covers the safety aspects such as the process safety, fire safety, chemical safety. Electrical safety, Hazard identification and risk assessment. The safety induction covering the emergency response is most of the time new experience for interns. This prepares the interns on technical as a well on the safety aspects before they take a major responsibility for the job they are supposed to take up after completing their education. Importance of safety leadership and the safety systems is crucial for interns.

Cuando comprendemos que al estar inmiscuido en los procesos y operaciones de plantas, sabiendo que tenemos riesgos latentes, entonces sabremos manejar de manera segura cada trabajo que se realice. Es importante conocer los procedimientos de emergencia para dar respuesta inmediata a cualquier evento y minimizar accidentes. La seguridad depende de uno mismo.

Another advantage is building a network of professionals, forging good ties that can be useful later in your career... I always advise young people to leave a good impression of themselves, even if it's only for a 1-month internship, by showing your knowledge and human qualities.

I agree with this statement; however, it’s important to note that an internship is the infancy of your professional growth. I’ve always been amazed at how many people “settle” into a comfortable role and stop seeking ways to get better. I would highly recommend reading books, reading operations-related journal articles, studying best-in-class companies and finding ways to replicate a process and make it unique to your organization, and by seeking out mentors. The opportunities to thrive in the operations field are endless for those that are willing to put in the work. Professional growth is continuous improvement of yourself and your skill set - don’t let your job outgrow your skills.
