Monitorear y reportar significa -en realidad- medir y comunicar. Ambos son simples, y quizás por eso se suelen desvirtuar con facilidad. Medir requiere de marcas previas ya que lo que nos sirve es conocer la magnitud y el sentido del cambio -este tiene que ser positivo y su magnitud sostenida (a veces peque?os pasos sostenidos generan un gran cambio). En cuanto a la comunicación es importante saber que los reportes le sirven solo a quienes los reclaman por cuestiones técnicas pero estos no tienen capacidad para comunicar los hechos -tampoco los aciertos-. Comunicar implica iniciar un diálogo con los involucrados en un lenguaje común, poner en evidencia lo hecho para reforzar los vínculos, validarlo, capitalizarlo y estimular su progreso.

La cultura sustentable y el compromiso de los empleados en una organización están vinculadas con los resultados, lo positivo que estos sean y qué tan abarcadoras sean las mejoras que generan.
