The KPI seem to only talk to specific environments and the individual though they feed off of others and yet, there are no KRA and/or KPAs to refer to. So, the cascading of the organization's BSC "objectives" doesn't really help if not understood. The strategic goals get skewed and time gets wasted as a result. Innovation gets delayed when those at the bottom do not have a clue of what the future is. There will not be any preparation for the new, no adaptation and no fostering of industry related innovations as envisioned. When you know where you are going, you can plan well so you can navigate well and with who as they what and when at what cost.

Fortunately, there are many technological tools out there that are specific to function areas to introduce but, listen to everyone who has a know how using other tools. This enables collaboration, factual info sharing and efficiency in a workplace. Where necessary, add to the current tools for ease of their use instead. These days, instant messaging, video conferencing and others exist.
