The continuum of training an entrepreneur doesn’t start with an entrepreneurship course. It starts way earlier thru building skills in problem-solving, confidence building, creativity, critical-thinking, and self-learning. The top-down approach of building incubators, funding and policies has not shown the expected results per Prof Josh Lerner’s book Boulevard of Broken Dreams. This is because the bottom-up approach of building basic entrepreneurial skillset and mindset, in the majority population, to build pre-entrepreneurs isn’t happening. These programs often take on only those with ideas or courage who put their hand up. After doing over 100 innovation and entrepreneurship programs I believe we are starting at the wrong end of the line
